Performance review season is here. I come from a company culture where feedback was very direct and in the moment, usually delivered in person. My current agency is very different, feedback is channeled through departments like a game of telephone, all via email. By the time it reaches you, it is devoid of context and not useful. Everything feels like an hr case is being documented, very gossipy and cliquey.

Also he is doing DM to ppl and misbehaving with them . He is very much into that I should provide him my free services .

Dun know how do these people become VP in MS .

I really don't know how this VP would be treating his team and maintaining the culture in MS

I just left a very toxic work place.
The crazy thing is they were just named the best local municipality to work for. It's upsetting. They advertise a "culture" but don'tapply it. It felt like a used car sales pitch, I was sold a dream but given junk. I am constantly replaying moments. I have read so many books and everything leads to they were the problem. For those working in house, how much “from scratch” document drafting are you doing vs. reviewing and revising “outside documents”. For example, if your company wants to enter into a joint venture company with another entity, are you drafting the company agreement “from scratch” or is it based on internal forms? Or are you getting outside counsel to do it?

Over the past year, my counsel is constantly judged by a select few senior business folks (eg arguing over FTC compliance, IP risk counsel, and even simple things regarding NDAs that any attorney wouldn’t question. It’s very frustrating that my own team is the one I have to defend my logic to (and not opposing counsel).
