Passing on information from a friend:
Third year small firm, $60,000 salary, benefits (firm covered 50 or less % of premiums), no origination or commission pay, no formal bonus structure but random unreliable holiday bonuses of varying amounts.
This is similar to what I have but I feel that's too low. I've brought in almost $200k since March.
If location is a question: I am in Chicago, IL.
I'm commission based, but making about $150,000/year. I have almost 4 years experience, based in Salt Lake City, Utah
No base salary. Yes, I get commission on cases I handle that I didn't bring into the firm.
150-200K commission based, 3 years in, California.
