Disney is a day, Universal studios and dinner in Hollywood after is a day, Santa Monica and Venice could be the third day. Those are packed days though.
Sounds doable - the amusement parks are a day each. If you don’t really want to do much else in Santa Monica / Venice / Hollywood etc that’s ok. If you want to go hiking (would 100% recommend), spend time at the beach, explore Hollywood (Griffith observatory etc), go to Malibu…..then you might wanna skip a park. Really depends on the main objective of your trip and what kind of people you are
Santa Monica and Venice are right next to each other so that’s basically 1 stop. You can walk from the SM pier to the Venice pier in an hour and see plenty of cool stuff on the way. Lots of good food in the area. May want to check out shopping on the 3rd street promenade and the SM Place mall. Definitely recommend walking down Abbott Kinney in Venice (food, shopping + people watching). Hollywood stinks but if you must go, you can get great views of the sign from Lake Hollywood Park. This is also close to Universal Studios so could do both of those on the same day. I’d skip Disneyland but I’m scarred from having an ex who had an unhealthy obsession with it and made me get a season pass every year lol
Are you flying into LA to LAX? If so:
Day 1: Do Santa Monica and Venice first day depending on time you get there and keep it chill since they’re closer to each other and the airport (or do this the last day).
Day 2 or 3: Pick the park you must do. That way if you’re tired the next day you won’t feel pressured to have to do the 2nd park. If you do Universal, you can probably get to the park early and stop by Hollywood on the way back home at night to check it out (more lively with the lights at night anyways). Bonus points for taking train from Hollywood and Highland up to Universal Studios.
Day 4: Relax and chill and recover (or do Venice/Santa Monica the last day)
Skip one of the amusement parks. The rest is just casual hopping around
Depending on your age and how much driving and being around other people takes out of you, Disney can be a lot. I know adults in their 30s who take a day to recover after a day at Disney 😂
Due to crowds and lines, Disneyland is now a 2 day trip.
Disney is a full, long day on its own.
Santa Monica and Venice are easy to do together in a day.
You could do Universal for a day and have a Hollywood dinner and walk about in the same day. But that depends on what you want to do in Hollywood.
That’s too much! Pick either Disney or Universal and then do the rest. Skip Hollywood except for the Griffith Observatory.
Are you planning to do both Disney land and California Adventure. If you get a park hopper and try to do both and get the genie pass you can probably cover most of both parks but you will be there all day. It will be more relaxing to do one park per day. Rise of the Resistance is the best ride Disney has ever done. Hollywood is gross, crowded, full of tourists looking at names in the sidewalk and unhoused people. There’s no good reason to see it.
