Gave interview in TCS, it went pretty well. At the end, the tech interviewer asked my expected ctc. After mentioning as 27lpa, he asked if can be negotiated, told yes.
After that didn't get any feedback, its been around 5days.
Is 27lpa too much fr tcs? 🤔

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Wait for SM salary then find a new job. You’ll probably get something way higher with that title
I say stay you’re dumb if you leave and if there are feels that you’ll achieve partner all that accumulated network and work you made
9 to 5 baby!
@D2, that’s what I’ve been thinking. It’a a perfect role in a fantastic company that also happens to be the only large bank that wouldn’t require relocating my family.
How much do you like your current job?
I jumped in similar situation. My thought was there is risk you'll price yourself out at SM salary and have limited options. Better to jump and move when you have leverage. Also hours are amazing on other side.
I think I could make Partner if I stay, just kind of scared of the pressure long term
Sooo what’s your hold up? I say go for it
@A1, the feels are there. It’s just so ruthless here. If the market shifts, they toss out SMs like used condoms
To the point made earlier, if you’re expecting a big SM bump and can stomach it, logically it makes sense to wait it out.
However, if the salary you’re getting is acceptable and this is really what you want, have at it, not like you couldn’t boomerang right back in.
Can you handle 4 years of being the equivalent of an analyst for all of the partners though?
