Please help: This is my story: I was obsessed and maybe still, with getting an MBA. The problem is I do not have long term career goals, currently just putting things in place to start my e-commerce business and truth be told the only reason why I wanted an MBA was for the prestige and tag, went to a state school for undergrad, networked my way into consulting and participated in Harvard’s SVMP program. When I was a kid I wanted a Ferrari. I would say, “When I make money, I’m getting a Ferrari.” Now I can afford a Ferrari, but the cost is still ridiculous. It will add nothing to my life. I don’t even have time to drive it! I’d always be worried about dinging it or the slightest bump.

It’s okay to move on from the things you used to want - even if you were obsessed - when they no longer make sense in your life. That’s natural

You don’t need any ‘real’ reason to go...don’t beat yourself up over it. Wanting to go just for prestige and network is a totally normal thing. In fact, most people just go for that reason only even though they pretend otherwise.

Just think of a good on-paper story. Yours would probably be ‘that I want to launch an e-commerce biz and think an MBA would equip me with the right 360-degree knowledge of business to both launch and operational or it’

After some reflection I came to the conslusion that that much debt may not be worth it for just the prestige and network if I have zero long term corporate career goals. But I won’t lie sometimes I get this feeling that I’m disappointing myself and I’ve gotten way too comfortable. It’s just astounding that someone like me who was obsessed with an MBA can’t seem to find any reason to go. Thoughts?

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

I really do not want to manage nor be active. My goal is to log-in like once every 6 months.

Thank you all.
