I’m considering leaving Google to go work at a startup, I’m wondering if things don’t work out how easy it’d be to come back to Google. I’d love to hear from people who returned to Google how the process was. Does the company value your previous tenure at Google, or do they treat you like any external candidate who never worked at Google before?

Not to sound too much like a product manager here, but how would that content on this app be different or better than the millions of words already out there on the web?
Hey @ADP, when you say evaluating and prioritizing, is that for planning a roadmap or general skill needed for PMs? I.e. product/feature MVP, tasks, etc. If the latter, I'm curious why this skill is critical for PMs specifically, instead of I suppose the general knowledge worker or tech worker
this sounds like a good idea, I see the same post all the time in this bowl and no one seems to read the responses of when other people have answered it. kind of annoying
While not necessarily a terrible idea, what types of questions do you expect from a bowl titled “aspiring product managers” if not questions in how to transition into the career?
Great point! I think ideally it wouldn't be discouraging those questions, just a place for people to check first before they ask or as well as asking.
Also think people are asking the wrong question if it’s a generic “how be PM help.” The questions should be tailored to which company, their experience, and etc so the advice can be better. Don’t think one size fit all works
This is a spot on response, I think people don't know how varied the field is.
Yes please. Tired of seeing the same thread over and over.
