I would use like 70% to the sp 500 fund and 30 to the FSPSX. 80/20 would be fine. A little bit of bonds are fine but not needed in your 20s
So many dang letters lol. Can you just do FSKAX + FSPSX? That will get you US market and international (no bonds necessary). That's what I have. The US market fund will contain large/mid/small cap so you don't need to split it yourself.
You can rebalance whenever you want in your 401k since there are no tax implications. Doesn't matter if market is up or down.
I realized right before you commented that maybe it would’ve been helpful to just give a screenshot of my options 😅
But ok that all makes sense I think for my level of understanding 😂 I don’t really know what to respond with but everything you said was really helpful, thank you!!
BSPAX and OGEAX are essentially identical. PEQIX is a bit more diversified than the other two (the first two are pretty tech heavy, with AAPL and MSFT making up about 13% off the funds on their own). Couldn’t find JLPGX, so no comment there.
For the international ones, WFENX is pretty east Asia heavy, FOPAX is small cap, and FSPSX is more firmly established international companies (lots of Europe and japan).
My personal recommendation would be probably BSPAX and FSPSX if choosing exclusively the ones you’ve listed, but I’d look to see if you can do FSKAX (Fidelity’s VTI-equivalent mutual fund) and put 80% in that paired with FSPSX.
Yes your options are limited to those shown. SP 500 is good enough for a us market fund
