Product Manager to Learning / Training Role

Anyone who has transitioned from a PM role to more of a training type role? Did you have to take a pay cut? I’m really feeling burnt out on PM and have realized that the things I like most about it are actually the training and communication to end users for release rollouts. Which sadly I don’t even get to do as much of in my current company. If you have had a similar experience and made the switch I’d love to hear more!

I recently accepted a job that I quite overqualified for because I’m in need of a job. I got hired as a Marketing Manager and work directly with the Marketing Director. Come to find out my director is still in school and has absolutely no marketing experience. She’s been with the company for 4 months. They seem to want to utilize my complete skills set and make up for her lack of marketing knowledge but maintain her position as director and pay me a entry level marketing manager salary. Advice?

Very specific to retail and/or hospitality in-house roles: has anyone found a good solution for predictive scheduling? Our retail division has one set of software for scheduling and one for payroll, and neither of them can handle predictive scheduling compliance issues unless they’re used for both the scheduling and payroll functions. I’m coming up empty on ideas for them to bridge the gap, but I’m also new to my compliance counsel role, so I would be overjoyed if anyone has suggestions.

Has anyone left PA for a hybrid accounting/finance role? It definitely sounds interesting to me, but I want to avoid ending up in a role performing 2 roles for the salary of 1! Received my first prenatal massage at 19 weeks today and the therapist was trained and did a bit of myofascial stretching techniques. Never touched my stomach. Just lower back, arms, legs and feet. I have had cramps in my abdominal area since a few hours after the massage. Not sure if it’s cramps or stretching pains. Drinking a ton of water to flush out toxins, but is this pain normal?

I accepted a FADP offer but I have lifelong crippling anxiety It leads to (TMI) diarrhea, I can’t sleep at night, among a lot of other issues. I see a therapist and have their support in school accom. I appear high functioning and ever since uni went remote my life and performance has only improved. I'm working at a startup where I feel like I've spent as much time trying to deal with product issues vs working on roadmap items. I get this is bound to happen in a start up but is this common? I'm not sure what to do. It seems like no one really thought about the architecture or ux as much as they should have in my opinion. I need some advice.

I got invited to a second round interview with a big company. The title sounds more senior than my current title, but the work responsibilities feel like a step down. I am wondering if I should still interview (to see if they will consider me for my desired role instead or at least, get some interview practice for when a better opportunity comes along). Thoughts? Is it ok to reject the offer if they make one, on the grounds of the role not being a good fit for me.
