I am asked during this RE analyst interview to build a real estate model from scratch. My background is commercial banking and I am used to analyzing real estate deals from the lender side not the developer. The interviewer is generous I must say he’s giving me a few days to complete. However this model is for a ground up multifamily development. I have no prior experience building one. I can find models online but all very complexe to reproduce. How would you handle? Do you have model to share?

Should I complain to a firm's HR if the interviewers laughed at my answer during an interview? Maybe it sounded scripted but it was still heartfelt and genuine: my immigration story and how that made me appreciate the rule of law. I said it soo many times during OCI's that maybe it eventually sounded robotic, but for the interviewers to laugh and one to say sarcastically "nice elevator pitch", I thought was rude. Thoughts?

If I end up with 0% apportionment under GIT and 10% apportionment under CBT (withholding tax), the partnership pays tax upfront but NRs get 100% refund?

Omnistudio - may you get built in to Salesforce core. Hate how I have to install a package every release, test it, and when there is a break fix that cycle repeats. This is on top of those freaking data that drives functionalities (omniscripts, flex, IP) are all records and tough to sync to non-full copy. is it worth it to shift to IB or MBB after 7 years in the big four(audit and fdd)? I do think IB and MBB are interesting fields that you can acquire unique skill sets and a good network. Welp. Had an interview scheduled for this morning for 30 mins. I join the webex & nothing. I email the recruiter after 15 mins and get a response saying the interviewer had something come up and would like to reschedule. Is it dramatic of me to be bothered by the fact they didn’t even apologize? Meanwhile, I have another interview for a different company Monday & the recruiter reached out today asking if I had any questions or do a zoom test run.

I’m a first year analyst in RFA with deloitte and have really hated my experience so far. Both my projects have been a lot longer than they stated and I have learned 0 skills from either of them. I’m really just doing the same task every day and I feel like my undergrad degree is going to waste.
