Layoffs have started ! How will it impact Big4 ?
Advisors I have a sincere question. No judgment regardless of your answer. Say you have a Senior Registered Client Associate with AWMA designation & 20 years experience in additionto 2 other less experienced CA's as partof your team. You urgently need another advisor to join your team due to the sheer volume of clients. Would you prefer to:
1) hire a junior advisor with little experience & possibly no licenses
2) seek to promote 1 of your CA's
Is Gunderson offering remote positions? They have a posting for a junior associate in the CA office and am wondering if it’s worth applying

I have a director interview scheduled with PwC India.
What kind of questions can one expect in such interviews?
Also what could be a good ask for 4 years of experience in SAP BW/SAC domain?
I have 3.7 years of experience and am interviewed with TCS. They said they can send me onsite within 2-3 months of joining. Can someone from Tata Consultancy confirm if this is true that TCS send 3+ YOE to onsite.

The Age Discrimination in Employment Act. If you’re over 45 and your agency is laying people off it if you’re in HR right before layoffs, get familiar with it.
Anyone who joined PwC AC Bangalore recently and is/was on bench for 2-3 months?
I'm worried about getting "FIRED". Does PwC fire in such cases?
Connected with Deployer, Coach and RL many times they say I should wait and need not worry whenever requirement will come they will inform me. I have been on bench for 2+ months now.
Not cpa related, but if anyone is applying to pwc start internship 2021 and you identify as a minority you can "present yourself as a minority" and a recruiter will refer you to a web page to see if you meet this criteria. Basically it looks like you'll get preferential treatment if you meet the criteria. Firm is really pushing diversity it would seem
I made it the final round "panel" interviews with Amazon for a hardware engineering role. Anyone got any tips or experiences with Amazon interviews for a HW-oriented role?
It's 5 hours total, first two rounds are with managers. What I've done in the past is give as many examples as I could for HW solutions that I worked on highlighting the tech skills. Wondering if I can do more?

How much should an L2 engineer with over 4 years of experience working for an MSP be making in NY metropolitan area? I am jack of all trades working on ESXi, Windows Servers, firewall, switches. I do have a couple of CompTIA certs. I am making somewhere around 90k and I feel I am underpaid. In the last four years I haven’t really went out to interview and get offers as I kind of like my current job. However, I feel as I am leaving money on the table, which I shouldn’t be.

I got an offer in Internal Firm Services function of Deloitte Shared Services India LLP (Deloitte India). Is anyone familiar with the work pressure/work culture? I have to work with internal stakeholders (not a client facing role). Also, I have got a good hike and the interview process was pretty smooth. So overall I am getting a good vibe about the same, but please enlighten me.
I need tips on how to remain calm during a interview. I naturally have high anxiety and it always holds me back during interviews. Any advice will be appreciated !
Does anyone work for Omnicell as a Clinical Trainer? I’m in the interview process now and communication has not necessarily been that great with it being seemingly rushed then with gaps and then being passed to other recruiters who asked me the same question and act like I should be further along in the process then having to get back to me because they need to talk to somebody else. It appears very disorganized but not sure if this is just an HR issue or if there’s a reason
I'm a quality analyst from Amazon India looking for Data analytics roles. I have 2 years of experience here, and I have experience with SQL, Power BI, Python and Machine Learning algorithms, alongside the quality framework. I appreciate any help that I can get :) preferably within the e-commerce industry, but I'm not picky.

As a leader in cyber, one of my aspirations is to increase the diversity of any organization that I am a part of.
For example…When I was in Big4, I referred several diverse candidates who are thriving & now, at McKinsey & Company, I set a personal goal to refer 1 diverse candidate, especially in (but not necessarily exclusive to) cyber/tech/IT, for every month of my tenure.

Crisis in faith: doing gov't consulting because I have no interest in spending the same or more hours helping a company improve its bottom line. I also have no interest in being paid less to be a fed for 10 years.
Seeing the lack of movement on student loan forgiveness & the sheer $$$ commercial apparently makes, idk if it's a smart move to stay mission driven or just bail for the highest dollar. Anyone else dealt with this?

CW’s: If I’m trying to cite a “% of patients” and the PI has 2 different studies with 3 datasets (so, 3 %’s), can I average those or otherwise avoid having to write out all 3? (Space issues, and can’t cherry-pick). Thanks!
I’ve heard of some account service individuals who jumped from Account Executive/Account Manager to Account Supervisor (vs AE -> SAE -> AS). From research, it’s seems like an SAE requires 3-4 YOE and an AS required 4-6 YOE. However, for those who have experienced this jump in their own career, do you feel the account sup role you landed to be more “junior level” than a “normal” AS role normally is? Did your team feel adequately supported, or should they have hired a more experience AS?

What are the best pieces to include in your "book"?
BACKGROUND: I transitioned from medical copy editing (7 years) to medical content/news writing (2 years) to pharma/medical copywriting (1.5 years). I'm currently a senior copywriter for FCB working on a new drug launch. I've created the Day 0 splash page (US), brand style guide (global), HCP and patient Day 1 & Day 14 emails (US), and an HCP Thought Leader Liaison slide deck. My journey has been non-traditional so I don't have a book per se.

Thoughts on Cult Health?
True story: a guy who worked for me was an under-performer in all the ways one can under performer. He is now the head of a hot agency. On one hand, he wasn’t a good cultural fit, which I suspect crippled his confidence. But what I learned is that at the time he was struggling with addiction. He got sober, found his footing and skyrocketed. I encourage you to consider that we never know what someone is going through, and we sure as shit don’t know the extent their potential.
People get fired for all sorts of reasons and often it’s politics. My advise to you is that unless you’ve had a negative personal experience working with person than you should keep it to yourself. You wouldn’t want anyone doing it to you. Especially someone you’ve never personally worked with or along-side
Giving people chances is a good thing. Sometimes people are just in the wrong place. For that to follow them forever prevents them from actually learning from that experience to move on productively. Imho of course.
I'd say you've heard rumors and are not sure what's true or not so you recommend they check references.
I wouldn't in any way repeat what you've heard as you're just spreading more gossip and other people's judgment. Never talk trash about others ever for a myriad of reasons, much less if your experience is not firsthand!
@CS1. Perfect! Wouldn’t want you here.
And I know we’ve all been let go. But she had a bad rep and was lazy with an attitude. Heard this from all team members, from account to her writer.
I just had this same experience. But she had s terrible reputation. I never worked with her. But I spoke to her AD, boss, and the person who sat next to her for 2 years. They all had legit reasons why she was let go. The smaller the place, the more a “bad apple” hurts morale.
