How does one finds out if there is learning in this role, there is no micromanagement etc etc.?

Hey guys, I am in process for a Machine learning role with PwC. Coming from Deloitte where we have good implementation project. I am curious what salary can i expect for a senior ML associate?

Due to a recent company-wide increase and additional pay for bilingual direct reports I am only making a dollar and change above them as their supervisor. I was hired into this position in March, having been the first employee in this department. I really tried to get them to budge on salary, they did not, but shortly after accepting they gave the whole company a dollar raise.

Any suggestions on how this might be addressed?

Feeling down. I've interviewed for probably 12 positions (mostly Senior Manager level), and always getting rejected. Is this normal? HR has told me in in their system it shows it as level 10 across hiring procedure. I have seen that many unicorn startups are very particular about the college you are graduated from even while hiring laterals. This feels a little sad. As someone from the tier 2-3 college who struggles a lot at the start of a career - why do we need to prove ourselves continuously?
