Recently joined Accenture Strategy as a Management Consultant. But now looking at my peers I feel I am a bit lowballed. Many of my peers are Managers with couple of years lesser experience than me. Though they have grown organically within the organization but still I feel have I made a mistake.
My profile is 7.3 years work ex post MBA and around 1.5 years pre MBA. Salary received here is 25L fixed.
So have I made a mistake by not coming at M level??

Asking for wife who's also in banking. If she got ~$100k in signing bonus in 2019 for 1 year commitment in CA and started FT in July 2020, assuming she leaves before July 2021, can her employer claw back full amount in California? Some say it's much tougher to do so under CA law but wonder if anyone has any insights. Banks won't likely care about analyst signing bonuses, but associate bonus at EB with diversity bonus can be significant. If she quits before, she won't be going to another bank.

Through a lot of comp discussions I heard a lot of talk of “making you whole” when things get better. Am I drinking the kool-aid by believing this? Is this just meant to prevent further questions that the firm does not know the answer to?
