25L at Management consultant?! I'd kill to have such an offer
Frankly there is a cast difference in base salaries of 2013-14 pass outs and 2018-19 pass outs. So KPMG of course people with lesser exp get amazing salaries. And again let's not compare ABC salaries with other b-schools, they will always be a step ahead because of higher base
Are you comparing apples to apples ? People who have grown organically within the firm will always have upper hand.. also ACN hires from tier 1 colleges so do compare that as well
Yeah get your point, my HR POC too told the same about the fitment thing. I guess I am not unhappy with brand and Pay for sure. Just was apprehensive about being dragged back by a couple of years in terms of career progression but I guess this the price one needs to pay for a better brand, better profile in this case management consulting and a good platform for future
If there is any vacancy. Please refer me
Well @KPMG1 I am not at all hyped about the offer. I know there is nothing over the top about the offer given my experience and education. And so I was concerned about being down played. Well but having spoken many people I for once know that this is best what I can get given my previous experience. Might be could have got 2 odd lacs more but that is about it. About your friends getting 20 with 2 yr exp so that is the diff between erstwhile and recent MBA salaries. Our base was less, recent graduates get a starting avg of 17-20 in top 15 B-Schools. This was not the case 7 years ago. Moreover I don't come with a Management Consulting background. So yeah many factors in play here
Well that paints a better picture. Thanks for that..
Was just trying to chip in my two cents as I recently interviewed in MC Strategy profiles of all Big4.
Never heard of someone who is Manager in Accenture India with less than 7 years of experience. If there are, those would be extraordinary cases.
Many M profiles of linkedIn are 6-8 yrs ones
What was your last drawn package ?
Asking just to understand how much hike Accenture gave
17 Fixed..
@OP i know you are hyped about the offer and firm which is good... But with that level of experience don't you think they are underpaying you (just my POV), given that MC is paying insanely well to everyone these days.
Just for context, a couple of my friends are receiving 20lpa with experience little over 2 years.
Was your last experience with some boutique/small consulting firm?
What you should also ask the low balling HR is the MAL you would be joining at.
@HCL my MAL considered is 19 months.. is it fine?
What kind of profile Associate Director (I5) has in Accenture Strategy/Consulting ? Are they like BIG4 Associate Partners ? And what is their salary band ? Any info is highly welcome...
