Recently left a service and sales management job in the automotive field after 18.5 years- due to pay plan cuts and a new GM flexing his muscles. Really was a gut punch. Trying to get my name out for a change of career path- has anyone else had experience in my field and made a change to like what they are doing? I’m seeing LOTS of door to door type stuff and that is not anything remotely close to what I’m looking for. It may just be the way the search is set up. I’ve never had to look.

Looking for some advice on a career change. I work in a technical role and have well-developed soft skills. I want to transition to UX (w/ focus on accessibility). There are a lot of UX educational programs out there, some very new, e.g. Dribbble, and costs are all over the place - General Assembly is $15k (and full-time), CareerFoundry almost $8k, and then many others at a fraction of the price. Reviews also vary wildly. Are these more expensive programs worth the huge increase in cost?
