Is it a condo? Not all condo complexes are FHA eligible
I think FHA loans have a higher standard vs conventional so I don’t think you can just waive inspection since FHA would have to approve
Ahh, it’s a legally zoned duplex but layout and build is single family
It’s not the inspection it’s the “FHA appraisal” that is the problem. I wouldn’t waive inspection contingency unless you have a understanding of the significant problems that could come up in an inspection.
Just have the agent communicate that you will be responsible for remedying problems that arise through the FHA appraisal. They must be addressed before closing.
I beat out conventional offers by doing this. I legit had to send someone over to scrape and paint chipping paint on exterior surfaces.
They don’t have to. Many sellers know FHA can take longer to close. I’m not sure it’s a red flag. More a sign of an impatient seller.
