Salary negotiation question- I have 6 YOE and most recently 3 years in a Operational lead role. The job I’m applying for is an Operations Manager (NYC) and has a base range of $82K-$88K with 15% bonus. I’m dying to get to 6 figures on my base.. How can I ask for a higher base, what’s the most I can ask for and how much is appropriate before them refunding the offer (If I get it)

For a senior role (Principal, MD) when do firms typically do reference checks-Before or after extending an offer? In conversations with a PE firm and it’s going well. The founding partner said during the in-person meeting they really like me, have gotten positive feedback from every partner, and see a good cultural fit. Wonder if this means they’re close to extending an offer or is this typical to say and could still lead to no offer

I know this is personal and dependent, but what should I be considering as a commensurate salary?

I have an interview tomorrow with a recruiter for a federal contractor agency. The position is a data entry support (hybrid) for a bank. They explained the salary $18 and some change, presented benefits, and surface details in the job.

My last full time job paid $21 with an inconsistent schedule while this one is technically salary with full time hours.

Can I negotiate? I'd at least like $20 since this job is a stepping stone for me.

Company is KACE Company/Providencia Group.

I am an entry level nuclear engineer at an established nucl co. (been w them for 1.5y) and feel like I’m being underpaid for my role (73k/y). I was just contacted about interviewing for an entry level technician role at a different co., which compared to an engineer would be a step down imo. However, this role pays over 5k what I’m currently making (~79k/y). Do I ask for a raise to match this or consider the other role? Or Is there a different solution here?

Hey everyone! Wanted some advice - got an offer from a big ad agency for a Planning Manager role. Base salary is $90K (more than satisfactory, I have 2.5-3 years of total agency exp), but their PTO is severely lacking especially compared to my unlimited PTO benefit at my current job - they offered 10 actual PTO days, which are even prorated since it's mid-year. Assuming their PTO allowance is negotiable, any advice for how to handle the email follow-up to the written offer/how much to ask for?

I was told by a company via email prior to the final interview, “that the maximum salary for this opportunity is $90k plus 10% bonus.” Does this mean that I should expect no more than the previously stated or expect to be offered the previously stated? Just don’t want to be blindsided if the offer is lower. Thanks!
