I think you'll have more career mobility with SAP senior tech consultants. Snowflake is still growing and I think the stability that comes with SAP is needed during these uncertain times.

It sounds like you enjoy SAP more. SAP is probably not going to go away any time soon, so it's also likely a very safe option. Pick Snowflake if you're really trying to pivot to a different part of the technology world. It's definitely more "cool".

Thanks for input! Definitely leaning towards SAP.

It's a classic dilemma of corporate stability over innovation tbh. Personally, I think the SAP offer structure sounds far more appealing than Snowflake (I have never liked quotas) so my vote would be for SAP as well.

like

Thanks! Yeah, I'm a few years shy of 40. Definitely feeling a bit jaded and weary. Definitely leaning towards SAP

Not sure which to pick... SAP has a system in place. They're established and very process oriented. You could say they're more "corporate". Snowflake is definitely growing into a corporate behemoth. They'll be massive at some point. They're both great iny mind. My only concern with Snowflake is that there are internal quotas for performance reviews. I don't like quotas. SAP is a more client facing role with sales, I've done a similar role at a finech prior and I found it mostly enjoyable and the sales quota is really on sales.

That's hard to say Sales Manager. But definitely leaning towards SAP.

In the process of being promoted @B4 but I don’t like the people I work for and I’m on the project from hell. The promo has taken so long that I’ve looked elsewhere despite it being my 2nd promo in 3 years. I haven’t had much traction until this past week where I was approached by 4 recruiters with really compelling roles (including FAANG). I know it doesn’t hurt to talk to them but am I an ass for excepting the promo while continuing to look/possibly exiting in the near future?

I’m a fourth-year associate who just got an offer to go in house. My experience is in litigation but I’d be working on more corporate matters, which scares me. But I hate billables and firm culture and the in-house company is a huge company where you can make moves in once you’re there. My salary would be the same but I’d get better benefits and bonus opportunities in house. Plus I’m a mom and will have on-site childcare. Should I be scared that switching from litigation will be boring?
