Did EY Canada promote everyone a year early or something? I saw a couple of promotions on my LinkedIn that were 🤔 and then saw EY’s official post that they had the largest number of promotions ever. I’m thinking this was a product of having to give large wage hikes like all B4, i.e. if you get a 15-20% bump then we need to bump your position to maintain our ranges long-term, and/or we are going to make you earn your new $ even if you may not be ready for the new title.

Has it occurred to you to counter again at Deloitte with your Booz counter? Get them in a bidding war.
As SC you are underpaid with both offers. Counter for more.
Both Deloitte and Booz are good companies.
Having worked in a few other consulting firms, I’d say deloitte has the best perks but is a little bit more demanding with the requirement of firm activities.
Having said that, your level of involvement on those things is up to you. Typically, I am spending no more than 45 hours a week between project and firm responsibilities (federal)
Yeah unless you hate your current team I don't see much reason to leave. That's a good counter offer and a sign that your team values you enough to keep you.
I would have advised against accepting the other offer even before the counter offer as 85 isn't that much more than 73 and definitely not worth jumping firms for.
85k is almost the very bottom of Deloitte SC range — you will be fighting up hill to be middle of the pack for comp. friend of mine came over from the same position at BAH and got 98k
I was going to say that number looks really low for a Deloitte SC. Deloitte probably offered a C. Either way, leave Booz but not without getting a counter-counter from Deloitte
Do you like your team and your work? If so, stay. Plus the retirement match is better.
Wait that’s not right but it’s close idk math
Stay if you like your company and position
