Hi Everyone !!!
This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.
I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?
Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

Strategy is a clusterfuc* in agencies. There are no across-the-board standards, so you're at the whim of senior management for title, whom you report to, how much you're worth, what your deliverables are, and where you fit in oversight. I love what I do, but it can be a real pain in the ass in a bad situation.
True true...I'm nyc @$105k with 7 years. My guess is that mid range??
Went from 60 to 100 (same title, different agency). I felt underpaid before and slightly over now
I was getting $160K as associate director in SF
I don't think it has to do with geography as much as agency. There are agencies that run without Strategy - and don't know how to sell strategic work - and there are agencies built on strategy - that function more as consultancies. My experience with NYC, regardless of position, is that they tend to pay more, but living in NYC ends up costing more so tend to net out better in other cities like Chicago, Mexico City or São Paulo.
Geography matters a lot
@grey1 are you referring to senior salaries there? Seems a bit low
@grey 2 yes, if that's so then what the ranges in your perspective
Read the strategy survey. All the numbers above are low.
Grey is historically known. For underpaying .. $105-110 was their avg for senior strat.
Jr here joining the convo - does geography really matter that much? I got three offers in three different cities and the holding company I'm now with was the biggest factor in pay. Also, is 60k good for a Jr?
$120 with 3.5 years
@Ogilvy1 What was your starting and what was the progression?
What's the title progression of strategy? There's so many different kinds. Digital. Planners. Content. I have no idea who reports to wh.
Is the Strategy Survey still a thing? https://www.slideshare.net/mobile/hklefevre/the-20152016-strategist-survey-report
It depends where ya at in the us like NYC is say $75k is low, $85k medium and $95k+ is high. I mean in Chicago a directors make a bit over $100k
In 2005 I was making $27k as a junior strat. I cried when they made the offer and my boss thought they were tears of joy. 😩
I have found that geography does make a difference as a freelancer. NY agencies are willing to pay more
