Did 4 rounds of interviews. Last 2 with 2 partners at EY. Haven’t heard back even after 1 month. One partner even commented “you will be a good addition to the team”. Hiring manager gave EY email after her interview call with me.
Fast forward two weeks, no communication. Recruiting was surprised that I was still chasing for this position, month later. Got to know last week that hiring team was continuing to interview candidates. Should I drop the idea to get hired? EY hasn’t rejected me yet.

Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

D, everyone gets laid off so it’s not a you thing my man. The market sucks right now. There’s like 2k people for one job. Hoping something happens soon for you.
I just put it on my resume
hahaha lol. No. have you seen this industry? We've all been out for 6+ months, it not you. You don't have to mention it unless they ask.
Thanks 💗 that made me laugh and feel better about this shit!
I think it's better if you don't bring it up unless they do. Even then it's better to say something about how your interests no longer aligned with the company's visions or something to that effect. Good luck out there!

I’d be careful how you word that if you were laid off. You do want to be clear that it was in fact a layoff if it’s brought up
I don't suggest you do that. Just pass your resume and let them ask you first before you tell them what happened.
I put it on my LinkedIn and my resume when I got laid off in 2020 (I haven’t written a cover letter in ages). It is what it is, it’s happening all over we’ve all been there it’s going to come up eventually, no one is going to hold it against you
