One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

I wish firms had special HR teams to work with prospective candidates outside of typical work hours. Have had a couple interviews (technically) that I’ve botched from just general fatigue or fire drills at work

Is it worth leaving Deloitte for LEK? I currently have 1 year exp mostly in strategy projects and honestly the experience hasn’t been too bad. Not sure if I want to start over from the bottom but they’re offering 15k more. End goal is M7 mba. Is it worth the extra year?

Friend’s company wants to fly them out for 2 weeks for a project without paying for their flight home during the weekend in between. This is ridiculous, right?
