Don’t do it. Better companies out there.
Are you sure about the growth opportunities at D. Given it will take you 4-5 years easily to go up to SM and then a similar cycle to partner. Are you willing to sacrifice 10 years of your life and work like a dog.
Why would you do this?
@OP, my gf is at Deloitte, I’m at IBM. From first hand experience, it’s better here. More money, more work life balance, more possibility of a long term career.
IBM is doing some really cool things and clients are starting to take note.
If money is all that matters, consider this. Both gf and I are same level of exp, same role. IBM pays me $120k base. Deloitte pays her $81k. Oh I also get treated with respect and have most weekends off.
Good luck!
Damn IBM1 how many years of work experience? 👀
3-4 is usually the fast track now at Deloitte....
Fast track is 2 years
But Deloitte SM=IBM AP right? So not really a demotion. They shouldn't bring you in as SM if youre not AP now
Fast track from M to SM at Deloitte is 3 years. Fast track to PPMD is 5 years.... I'm at D. PM if you want to chat.
I was told 2 year plan to SM. Probably can get AP in that time at IBM
D is a trap. Don’t do it unless they are doubling your salary
Don't go to consulting companies dude. It's repertitive work with lots of bureaucracy
What's the pay range at D for manager?
Between 120-130 all the way to 170k but varies wildly. Some managers are specialists and have been at the level for a while so they could be on the much higher end
