So annoyed that I'm losing 6 days of vacation. Just have rollover vacation hours already EY!

You can roll over 40 hours to June 30, 2017

Does anyone realize that we have the least amount of vacation? 15 days vs 25 at PWC/deloitte.

Hopefully this will change soon. Buying vacation time is really not cool to reach a normal amount of w/l balance

like

We can rollover 5 to 2017.

like

^sorry 25 @ deloitte, kpmg. Pwc has 15 too

Have 22 vacation days and 12 holidays at PwC

like

22 vacation days, 12 holidays, a firm holiday shutdown, 4th of July extended holiday and a partridge in a pear tree.

Ok the last 2 are included in our 12 holidays. But still. P Dubbs 💪🏼

like

And we have unlimited sick days.

like

OP I believe if you just email HR/ your people consultant to allow you to roll over your hours, they will elevate and ask a PPED to approve. Never heard of anyone getting declined for this, but might be too late now :/

like

Yes I know we can roll over 40 hours. My complaint is I have 88 hours and I'd like to roll over ALL of them *pouty face*

like

On you... I imagine the policy is not news to you. Just, ya know, take all your vacation. At mck, many of us go negative on vacation. I think I'm -5 in the year.

like

At Accenture we have 25 it's pretty legit

Do other firms have unlimited sick days? I had heard at one point that's why EY has less. Although at EY manager and senior managers have 22 vacation and 3 personal days

Before you lose it, at least book it to help your effective utilization. Not that FSO cares about effective at all, but still it's better than nothing

Why would EY have that? It's so non-progressive in almost every respect except paternity and fertility benefits.

25 days PTO, can roll over 12.5 days. Zero sick days given.

We are seeing more pushback from employees on working 40 hours. We offer flexibility (wfh), 11 holidays and another 3 wks PTO. Seems like a good gig, I think, at 40-45 hrs. Anyone seeing this too?

For all you retail people...are you experiencing a very slow holiday season? I am a retail manager and I feel like this season has been freakishly slow. I thought we would at least match last year's number or be up a little bit but we are trending down. I talked to employees of other stores in the mall and they are saying the same thing. Is anyone else experiencing this in their market?

Looking to do informational interviews and try to network my way in, as I feel the barrier to entry was much harder than anticipated. Anything helps, thank you so much!

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

I just hit my lean fire number but am hesitating to pull the trigger, so was hoping to run it by people smarter than me:

- I have a few rentals that bring in ~$1800/mo cash flow, taxes are negligible, Capex incl.
- My paper assets will bring in ~$1200/mo at 3% draw
- I get free Healthcare at the VA
- No plans on kids
- My expenses haven't topped $30k/yr ever
- I could always reenter the workforce if needed (albeit probably not in consulting)

Please point out the flaws here, what am I missing?
