If you are a female educator in a public school in Texas, I have a research opportunity for you. I am a Doctoral Candidate at Baylor and doing a study on the experiences women working in the field of education have had that triggered shame and exploring their resilience to those experiences. I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

Employee pension, I’m nowhere close to being a PPED
Deloitte does. Still not really sure how ours works though.
Are you referring to the partner pension or employee pension?
So partners are on a different pension plan than rank and file employees... the plan keeps changing based on when you made partner as they’ve had to account for people living longer and the nature of business shifting etc. I’m not sure what(or if) new partners are promised, but for the partners soon to retire EY was always known as the best pension plan and they’ll walk away fairly happy for the rest of their lives. I have a really good family friend who retired in 2007 as an audit partner who makes over $350k a year with his pension as an example. I think he may have been slightly on the higher side of his peer group though.
The employee pension has a lot to do with when you started at EY. Some folks are grandfathered in for different types of plans that are more generous than others.
PwC and EY I heard both have additional retirement plans (eg- pension). I heard EY changed up their partner pension plan though so newer partners no longer get the annuity.
