Need help deciding if this offer is worth moving for. Received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for an Associate level Sr. Systems Engineer in Los Angeles for $135k base. I countered $150k and a $15k singing bonus and asked if I could be brought on as a lead associate since I've been a lead/manager for a while in my current company.
Current company TC: $125k in Utah.
YOE: 7 with M.S. and MBA

Imagine making a good US salary $ while living in South America.
Many companies prohibit this due to legal and tax compliance issues. I know Deloitte directly prohibits this and considers it a fireable offense to do so under the radar
Seen this happen plenty of time in France… e.g. 300k Compliance Director in a startup keeping his NYC salary in Paris. For your own benchmark, a PwC Senior Manager is around 80k in Paris… you should be careful however, these situations exist but are “anomalies”. Not sure it would ever happen in an environment where people are good with money such as banks… counter-example : NYC banker going from 600k to 200k in Paris.
I hope so! Still believe this is something you can achieve ; recent example: US CFO joined one of my FR clients (startup) - still based in the US I believe, with the occasional flight to Paris.
This probably is an edge case for big 4 which operate as member firms. Actual multinationals however do this all the time with overseas placements, and in many cases actually pay more as an incentive, particularly for asia
