35F divorced with a kid. I think I will never get remarried or in a serious relationship again. Lots of men don't like dating women with children. At my age either the guys are past their prime, divorced/ing and have to provide half their income to their first wife. So I have been seeing a guy for 4 months. We have a pay disparity.. he earns less than I do (by quite a bit). He has mentioned a few times that he’s worried I’ll get bored of him when I know he can’t afford the same things I can. I think we are beginning to move past this, but now he’s starting to mention things like ‘I am really broke this month’, and last weekend he told me his mum has lost her job and he’ll have to probably pay her rent. I’m hosting family from America in my home in Europe this week. Being away for just a couple of years has made me really aware of American tendencies. They’re fat and literally are only always thinking of their next meal. We can eat, and they want to talk about dinner. They always complain about their knees and feet even though they’re also only in their mid thirties. I’ve decided to no longer host friends/family from America because it’s always like this 🤦🏼‍♂️ 🫃🏼

My marriage is struggling and we have to pack up the kids and fake it till we make it with my in laws for most of their Christmas break. I don't want a divorce but things are not good, and it's hard to pretend they are even in front of the kids. Looking for advice I guess, or just a kind word. We recently sleep trained our 7 month son. He went from waking up multiple times during night and taking only 30 minute naps 3 times during day (most cases nursed to sleep or rocked to sleep or took a drive) to sleeping 12 hours at night without interruption and two 2 hour naps and one 45 minutes nap during day. We both love that he is getting enough sleep and well rested on one hand. On the other hand, we are now wondering if he is sleeping way too much.. contd…

Any tips for organizing a bedroom, closet, dresser & bathroom? My teen has IADHD, and low executive functioning. Her room looks like a land mine. Clean clothes are mixed in with dirty, her desk is a disaster, she won’t let go of clothes she’s outgrown, drawers are open with clothes hanging out. A therapist said to close her door if we don’t want to see it but it’s more than that. She needs this important life skill & I don’t know how to help. Easier to organize w/o her but that’s not a solution.
