Recently laid off at mid-sized NYC real estate litigation firm (first year associate making $120k before cuts in April, then $112k). I was invited to interview at a small firm and asked salary requirements. Should I give a range or specific number?
pwc foreign Global Mobility offices (IAS) have apparently been asked to confirm if they will remain with pwc or be part of a sale of the GLOBAL MOBILITY practice (presumably the US one). Seems odd, to say the least. I feel for my fellow IAS colleagues (I’m sure the partners past and present may get a sweet bonus / retention payment … others 🤔??).
All the audit senior managers out there, what’s your salary like? M3 here trying to decide whether I should wait for a promo in 2022 or jump ship now and get industry experience.
Was base pay and bonus growth reduced this year in Bain North America? If so, by how much %?
PWC SDC/AC or IBM which is good interms of learning, WLB,Hikes and other benifits? Got offers from both and package is also almost same, but ibm offered more joining bonus compared with PWC. Thanks in advance for your inputs
What is the average salary for DD in NYC?
Recruiters: for junior roles that disclose compensation up front, is there ANY negotiation after an offer? Have you ever rescinded an offer bc of negotiation?
Just promoted to M1 in Michigan. Base salary is now $88,300 (+4% bonus of $3k for total of $91,300). Wondering how this compares to others out there, and if I should be happy or disappointed, lol.
With the 2022 Robert Half salary guide recently getting released, do you feel it’s pretty accurate or not?
What are the packages like at PwC if you are laid off. Is it 2 weeks per year? Negotiable? If you are getting laid off in the next few weeks do you get your bonus?
I am two months short of completing 2 years of service at the current firm. I got a good offer and looking to move. This means I will have to pay back about $6k in joining bonus. Is there anyway I can negotiate this? I have so much overtime work hours that can currently be tracked to about 500+ hours for this year alone. What are somethings I should be aware of when paying back the joining bonus?
We are getting ready to implement a office wide base salary, 68k. Receptionist? 68k. Why? Because we can. We've never taken outside funding, and taking a page out of Dan Prices playbook. Anyone else?
Have 2.5 YOE and consultant at Deloitte. Huron consulting reached out to interview me for a Consulting Analyst position bc apparently analyst is (0-5 years) and associate is 5+. Does this make sense/sound right ? What’s the expected salary at an analyst level?
Thinking of going to a country outside the US where I can stretch my dollar and live comfortably for a month or two while still working remote. Has anyone done this? Any location recommendations?
Why are conservatives so quick to praise the Democratic mayor of Palm Beach County for accusing 60 Minutes of reporting false information while they largely failed to call out the man child for the litany of falsehoods, lies, and misinformation he propagated? You have to call out misinformation on both sides, not just when it pertains to your “team.”
How is the work culture at Unqork? Currently interviewing there for 15% pay raise. Most of it in RSUs though. Wondering if its worth the switch 🤔
Anyone here know anything or someone who works at TCS (Tata Consulting Services)? Have an informational interview with them and don’t know anyone who has worked with them before
Got hired in March (experienced hire). Because of my hiring date I was not part of this year's round tables. Should I expect a raise in base salary and a bonus, albeit on the very small side?
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-03-22/bosses-are-clueless-that-workers-are-miserable-and-looking-to-leave?srnd=premium Wonder what the numbers would be for consulting - naturally higher because the tenure is low to begin with but curious on what it would be above that due to the pandemic and WFH.
Hey Fishes,🐟 How can I get Freelance/internship work ? I want to try different roles, and want to do freelance/internship so that I can give my self some hands-on experience.
SM and D 🐠: when you interview a candidate with 9+ yrs of experience for a technical/leadership role - do you expect them to know the definitions of “objects” that they learnt as basics a decade back? or do you give them scenario based questions that solves clients’ problems? Genuinely curious.
I currently have the amex plat card. I want to supplement this with the amex gold or the marriott bonvoy brilliant. Thoughts on which is better?

Hi Everyone, Pandemic life is wearing on us all. The only thing that gives me resilience and strength is meditation. There’s a new free meditation workshop starting this week via Zoom!
That look when I receive an email about a new Teams Channel where I find an update instructing me to sign up for team updates via Yammer and training via Zoom.
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Does anyone else here have a passion to eventually start your own company someday? I really just want to work for myself, be my own boss, make myself money, etc but I don’t know where to start. Should I start a side project on the side? Figure out what I’m passionate about, what can make me money, etc?
If I work in Night shift in Wipro, would I Get any shift allowance or its totally depends on the project?

Are people still applying after only 2 years in consulting? Seems common for MBB but I wonder how you built solid recommendations / experience in so little time post-undergrad.
