Tax senior finishing up my 5th season (3rd as senior) and I need out. Job market has been rough. All recruiters want is to put me in another public firm doing more tax. Applications keep getting ignored because they see “tax” on the resume and immediately throw it out. I have no network. What do I do? Where do I look? Persistence is key I know but am I just applying for the wrong roles?

Accounting advisory big4 or IA at F100. Both senior roles. Roughly same base pay.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.

What would you take?
