I have interview scheduled and completed from Commonwealth Bank Bangalore location. All technical rounds cleared.
When I called HR i got a surprise answer..
They mentioned the position which I have intervied is different than the salary rem ranges. And my current salary is higher than position what they have got and asked for approval for rem ranges changes..
Is any one faced this? Ideally HR should know expectation and allocation before scheduling intervjew..

Strategy& folks, how do you truly feel regarding overall happiness with your job? I feel like often times we only see negative opinions on here (people come to vent about being overworked etc) so I’m curious if there are a bunch of happy S& employees out there just keeping more quiet

We interviewed three really strong analysts this past year but could only hire one. We scored them all in different categories and they averaged out. Literally the only deciding factor was one of them sent us a thank you note and asked for feedback regardless of the decision. We hired that one.
I do a lot of interviewing, and IMO a thank you note can do more harm than good.
Yeah, they seem fake
A thank you noted won’t be the deciding factor on whether or not you get a job. It may be helpful to serve as a reminder to the interviewer of why they want to hire you though. At the end of the day it’s only a couple minutes of your time and it certainly won’t hurt your chances.
Yeah, if not sending one was the nail in the coffin, then realistically you weren’t a top contender anyway.
Don’t bother. I’ve seldom had a reply to thank you notes
You talk about them like they’re not humans. When you hire people do you like to receive thank yous?
Totally agree. They should be thankful that you’ve made the time. I’ve heard of folks getting sniggered at / disrespected by potential employers during and after interviews
If the interview went well and I liked the person, I usually keep in my inbox as a reminder to check in through rest of process / add reminder for when they would actually start.
