Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

You need a car and be prepared to sit in traffic. ITP is better than OTP. Good neighborhoods- Virginia Highlands, East Atlanta Village, Decatur, Little 5, and Buckhead (if you’re a bro). Buford Highway has the best ethnic food on the planet. But your groceries at the Buford Highway Farmer’s Market and thank me later. Best newish brewery is Scofflaw. Best filet in town is at Hal’s. Best porterhouse is at Rathbun’s. Best sushi is at Tomo.
It’s a fun as hell city once you start learning the neighborhoods.
Apparently they have a robbing season.
DeKalb Farmer's Market is pretty great too. Oakhurst is a fun neighborhood in addition to the others listed. I live in Decatur and love it. Best BBQ is Fox Bros. Great music scene no matter what you like. We have pollen season like y'all have snow. I could go make pollen angels in the driveway right now, so if you have allergies, be prepared to be itchy and runny a lot. Great restaurants. Traffic is the worst--no joke. Housing is pretty reasonable. OTP is pretty Trumpy.
You got it. Proud ATLien. Sometimes I wish I was back there.
^ Atlanta Season 2
Oh and bring an air conditioner with you everywhere you go
They have real housewives there. Real ones!
As long as you’re inside the perimeter, it shouldn’t be too Trumpy.
@CS1 been in NYC 15 years and growing tired of the cost of living. Family's near ATL and it feels like its creative scene is blowing up. Also considering LA and Jersey. I'm open to suggestions.
@D1, not kidding. One of my biggest hesitations is moving into the middle of Trump country.
Just outside in Sandy Springs or Dunwoody aren’t too Trumpy, either. @D1 Um, best barbecue is Big Shanty Smokehouse up in Kennesaw.
That honor belongs to Fox Bros, CS1.
Nice, thanks JC1!
Just live v close to work (and don’t work anywhere north of buckhead, unless you’ve got a family and the burbs is your thing). And when I say close to work, I mean less than 5 Miles, otherwise you’ll spend two hours a day commuting. @jc1’s neighborhoods are great. West Atlanta has some cool hoods too over north/northwest of Georgia Tech.
ACD1 that cracked me up.
Also check out peachtree hills, it’s a small but cute neighborhood between buckhead and midtown & it’s perfect for getting around town fast & it’s one of the more walkable neighborhoods that still feels suburban.
Good for you OP! 👍🏻
Moved here three weeks ago. I live 23 miles away and do about an hour to and from work in midtown. It’s worth it to me not to live in an overpriced apartment. I rent a house for less than a 2 bedroom itp. But I also have pets and a wife. There’s great stuff everywhere- don’t think you have to live right next to work. Traffic is real but most people commute and if you’re coming from New York you’re used to a long commute via train probably.
Nope, I stand by it. Worth the trek.
Uhh what EP1?
