Thinking about getting a twin bed but I hate that my wife won’t fit in it. Anyone ever call Mattress Giant and tried to get a discount for the inconvenience?
Because you know the attributes of the Amex network ahead of purchase yet you want to be compensated for a supposed customer service failure anyway
The hotel room isn’t supposed to have roaches in it
Lol!
Most travel-related places do accept it internationally, though certainly depends on the country. Most hotels and mid-to-high end restaurants do accept it, along with most high end tourist shops
Don’t even know what you would ask Amex...
Not sure why you would go for an Amex vs the MANY great cards out there. Not challenging it, I simply don’t understand - enlighten me to the benefits of Amex. I have a corporate card, but I don’t see why I would get one for personal use. I believe the reason many businesses don’t like Amex is because of the very high rate they charge the business owner (used to be 2.75%, so effectively 3.00 out of a $100 restaurant bill goes to Amex). FYI, I was recently in a small town in the Netherlands where they would only take debit cards - no credit cards accepted as they refused to pay ANY fees.
I live in Europe and barely have any problems using my AMEX 🙋🏽
Perhaps one of the stupidest questions on FB to-date.
I don’t understand how this is a stupid question but the constant “found a roach in the hotel bathroom. How many points?” questions are fine...
I just find is stupid that they heavily market their travel cards yet no one accepts it when you travel. But fair point
Cards like visa infinity are just as expensive if not more so to the vendor as Amex cards are. The perks have to be paid for somehow!
I was I in India for work a few months ago. One: Deloitte US-India’s corporate cards are ALL AMEX. Two: I’ve had more problems with businesses accepting it here than I had in India
I live in Europe and have rarely had issues using my corporate AmEx - really only in the Baltics have I had issues.
OW1, funny, your wife fits in my bed just fine
