Would anyone working at ZS Associates be willing to discuss day-to-day work and type of projects, preferably at the consultant level? Trying to make the switch to strategy consulting and want to see if my background would fit what they are looking for. I would really appreciate any time anyone has, even if it’s just for an email or two.

Feel free to DM me if you want to learn more about Trinity. At a high-level, it has great culture, excellent comp and interesting projects. Hours can be tough at times but WLB seems to be better than some of the other boutiques
Hi, any chance you’d be able to elaborate on compensation? I spoke to someone who said comp is higher than ClearView but that doesn’t seem to be the case on glassdoor
Happy to talk about Trinity. Great culture and interesting projects for sure. WLB can fluctuate but its not unsustainable. It's been a great experience so far
Echoing the above about Trinity. Been good so far with some tough stretches of WLB but nice people + interesting projects.
The projects might be dependent on what POD/group within the company you’re in.. where some groups might have more BDs (and tougher associated WLB) or more PMR etc
I think compensation is similar across the 3 boutique firms- some variation between base/bonus but overall similar. Trinity changed their model recently to offer more base and less bonus. Trinity is dependent on the office/pod you are in- some do more BD (worse wlb), some are top heavy so less growth, some have leadership that care less and also less growth prospects for you. I would say Trinity can work at lower levels where you want to learn and have decent wlb, if you're at the mid-level Trinity doesn't offer as much growth or exit options
Have been at ZS and am at Trinity now. Both are good firms, especially for a new joiner.
You will work hard at both and learn a lot at both. At Trinity you will work with more consistent people for better or worse. Make sure you like the culture and people either way.
Feel free to DM about ZS.
ZS will be the largest out of those 3 and likely offer the largest variety, but we are historically known for marketing and sales related work. Our practices for R&D, market access, and Pipeline/launch strategy have become pretty large though.
WLB has been pretty good. Definitely seems to get worse as you go higher, but overall is not bad compared to average consulting hours.
