Thinking to jump from D to EY for SAP consulting (targeting a 15% salary bump). What factors should be considered in terms of difference of company culture, benefits, type of work, etc?

Dude. We have mad sick bonuses you should come.

That the caliber of the practice is a huge step down and you'll be likely having to do more work with less able coworkers

Didn't you read here about the ridiculous bonuses they got this year?

I know a person who did the same and left within 6 months. Be careful.

While you are really insane, I would talk to someone at EY about the move. Specifically ask about what kind of SAP projects are being handled, what is the exact role that you will be playing on projects, the kind of folks in the practice (SAP skill levels).

Why would anyone want to move from D to EY in the SAP practice?

"Thinking of jumping from D to EY". The answer is "Why would you want to ruin your career" right there!

EY5 - what do you mean by "you work with them sometimes"?....so are you in the SAP practice or not or just BSing as usual.

Our SAP practice is doing great. I work with them sometimes and they are working with good clients, and we have a great relationship with SAP

EY SAP is project management BS. Stay away. Plus you'll never get a $ for training.

I am in PI, so I do process and design work with SAP teams. And, "as usual?" You don't know me. And I wouldn't BS someone who is looking at a job change. I am providing my experience and POV. You can have yours but don't be a jerk

I had interviewed with Deloitte UK consulting in June/July and was called by the HR team by the end of July that the interviews were positive and they're sending for approval for an offer to be rolled out. I was called back later in September and told that the role is on hold due to a hiring freeze. Is anyone else in this situation and have you'll heard back from the HR team post that

How's working at Klick?

I was at Big 4 consulting for a year before lateraling to ACN recently. It’s been about 6 months at ACN. Now I have an industry offer for Product Manager, which has been my eventual goal. Would it be too soon to jump? Or should I stick around for better exits in a couple of years may be? I’m worried the frequent changes won’t look good on my resume
4 YOE overall, TC at Product Manager is about 20-25k > ACN.

I am writing this message besides the staff group of EY GDS. Specifically Staff -1 at assurance level. I would request everyone to spare few minutes and read it -

Wanted to bring out that staff-1's are paid peanuts (3.33L CTC) please don't expect them to slog 12-13 hours. They don't have enough motivation or incentives to work that long. Seniors,AM's and Managers should be more kind and explain the work to them clearly rather than making last minute changes.

Inspired by one of my kids' favorite books, I penned this masterpiece of an Ode to Consulting:

One senior partner all alone
Calls two managing directors on the phone
Three associate partners at the door
Bring along another four
Five senior managers come overdressed
Six managers show up with a guest
Seven senior consultants arrive in a sack
Eight associates sneak in the back
Nine analysts come to work
ALL THE CONSULTANTS GO BERSERK!!!

Ok, I'll show myself out now... 😂
