This may be a silly question - I really want to get into forensics at EY but I do not have the relevant “experience” needed for a senior role. Would it be worth it to apply for the staff role and work my way up again? Currently SA in audit practice at PwC.

Definitely apply! We love audit people and so much of Forensics is on the job learning

I don’t think you’d need to take a demotion. I’m pretty sure EY forensics takes audit seniors.

But why do you want EY specifically? There’s definitely other firms that would let you come over as a forensics senior if they won’t. Or firms that might have you come over as an associate but who pay their associates more than EY seniors make anyway

I know two people in my forensics group that transferred in at a level above staff from audit, one of which was from PwC

Foreign LLM student here. I plan to take the NY bar exam in February. I’m thinking of taking a bar prep course (most likely Barbri). They offer two options: the “traditional” course (which lasts around 2.5 months) and an extended 6-month course. The difference in price is substantial – 2.5k for the traditional course vs 6k for the extended one. Any thoughts/recommendations on which one I should take? In case it is helpful, I come from a civil law country. Thanks!

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!
