Those in the job market, how are they looking? Is it better to exit as an “acting manager” 2nd year senior associate or 1st year manager if the goal is manager in industry?

1st year manager. Things are tight out there but I anticipate it’ll turn around. Depends on industry and location, but I’d stick it out if you can.

Anyone have insight into Deloitte’s M&A strategy, diligence, and restructuring group? What kind of projects do you see the most and what’s the culture like?

hi all, currently have two offers:

1: EY - FDD, home city, very good $$ for FDD

2: PwC - post-merger integration, DDV team (essentially M&A Consulting) - bigger city, always been keen to move

Coming as a Senior in Audit, with recent FDD exposure (2 deals, obviously not much). I was looking for something more than just number crunching, wanting a mix of quant / quali / strategic work. M&A Advisory or a Corp Strategy role is where I'm looking to end up long term.

Thanks in advance!
