How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?
Seeking honest advice here.

10-20% above market comp and 200% extra stress
What makes AP so much more stressful? I see this sentiment a lot on here but don’t quite understand given that they’re in the same line of work as everyone else
LOL I’m an svp and barely make that. Honestly I’d stay away. Even if you think 130k is good now - they will lowball you on raises going forward and you’ll end up leaving in a few years due to low pay/insane MDs and directors
D
Gotta calculate on a per hour basis to find the real costs.
I don’t think anyone can give a straight answer on this until after comp talks next week. Alix hasn’t been clear on adjusting to market this year and everyone is apprehensive how they will respond. For example, current VP in Risk making significantly below that
I wouldn’t take that considering I make 130k at D as a senior.
I’m at the wrong company.
You should be 250k range for VP in DFIR, at least I was.
For all the people who think the pay is low: VP at Alix is equivalent to a senior associate. So $130K is about market. That said, if you have 6 yoe and are already a manager you should probably shoot for SVP
Any idea what entry level SVP salary range might be?
As I understand it per convos with HR, this offer was assuming a January start date, so assuming it’s considerate of the comp talks
Wait…these are the AP salaries for VP? Am I reading this right? Why would anyone go there for the stress of Consulting for that pay?
What?? I make 128k at KPMG as an S1 (4.5 years exp) Don’t take that
tech?
What is target bonus, though? The Big 4 people stating their salaries probably are not looking at a 25-35% bonus. Seems fair and more than I made at that level but it has been awhile.
For those shocked at VP title, that is one level above consultant and two below director. We don’t hire a lot out of undergrad. Agree it is a weird title structure but it aligns with banks likely due to our start as Rx shop.
Pwc feel free to DM me on here with any questions
Thanks. I was expecting the VP band to be larger given the SVP job description was asking for 8 yoe.
Disappointing thus far with the initial total comp offer… for full context it was $130k salary, estimated $20k bonus, $10k sign on. All in about the same as current pwc salary ($155k). Hoping they come back next week with a revised SVP offer with a more legit offer, otherwise gonna have to hard pass on this one.
That is a really low offer. I would not accept that if I were you. Sounds like they are lowballing you.
