Hi fishes, My interview with Microsoft for SE2 was scheduled and cancelled a day before. Neither I received any email regarding cancellation nor the recruiter informed me. Two days later I got an email saying Microsoft is freezing hiring for certain departments and the recruiter is ghosting me. Will I even get a chance to interview atleast?

Any McKinsey digital folks here?
Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

^ we do work way harder than advisory so maybe that explains the negative sentiment?
Maybe I’m misunderstanding EY 1/2s reactions, but TAS is the fastest growing segment within EY, and a big 4 leader in transaction-related work. I think colleagues across TAS that I have encountered are all pretty solid
Lol - run away.
Haha..run away indeed
I think this is hard to assess without knowing what practice within TAS OP or EY 1/2 are referring to
I’m looking at the Business Modeling and Data Analytics sub group. More on the data side. Thoughts?
To echo a1 - that group also forces you to get your CFA lol. It’s still quite small.
Run far, far away
Huh? Why run away??
Yea, not as exciting as it sounds. You’ll be stuck in boring PMO work
@parthanon, calm down. You’re not TAS. You’re but a minor part of it. Growth doesn’t mean it’s sustainable or competes with Deloitte. Deloitte’s significantly more mature than EY
It’s basically equivalent to PwC DDV. primarily PMO but there’s some M&A analytics and due diligence work
@op that group does some exciting stuff for sure. Smart folks, lot of excel modeling. If they give you a decent pay increase & title bump - take it
I had a buddy that worked there and he hated it. Worked 70-80 hour weeks for $75k. You might as well work for a bank
