Three years into sales, and the only positive I see is that I get to make more money than I imagined I would at 28. Those who’ve questioned whether this high-stress job is worth it, what helped you push through that doubt, and feel like this “grind” can go on long term?

I’m currently invested in a contract-based investment and it’s been a positive experience so far. It hasn’t been stressful and I’d be happy for you to take a look and see if it suits you.

I know this type of work isn’t for everyone. But for me, the answer has always been yes. The high stress and misery I experience every day is worth the giant paycheck. I’ll get to retire young probably, I have money to enjoy my life now. So the payoff is worth it to me.

The biggest change for me was in expanding my faith. I now fully understand how little control I have in outcomes outside my sphere of activities, and know how pointless it is to stress over what I can't change or impact.

The other big shift was to get confident in my abilities across all situations. A bird doesn't put their faith in the branch that they stand on (job), they rest confident on the fact that they have the strength to fly to the next perch.

I could never really see myself doing anything else. Sales is not the easiest of things, but you know what basically every business needs? Somebody to sell their stuff. That keeps me in it.

Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).

Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.

Thanks for the help!
