Has anyone ever had a teammate/friend fired for alleged sexual harassment?…..I did recently and it’s messing with my head and I cannot stop thinking about it. I don’t know many details which makes it harder because I don’t know the severity etc. It sounds like it was a he said she said but he still ended up fired.

Junior keeps sending me their work, but partner never asked me to review it. I am a mere one class year ahead of them. I’m not going to cover for their work product either. In spirit of transparency, How can I politely tell them they don’t need to keep doing this nonsense?

Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it. I wish the worst part about it was the amount of work, rather than the completely toxic culture, lack of appreciation, arbitrary and back/breaking deadlines, lack of mentorship/feedback/training, and the fact that the associates act like they don’t even know each other. I cry every day and constantly am made to feel stupid for not understanding the highly technical (cont.)

At some points, I feel I am becoming a problem magnet 🧲. Anything I touch or get involved in, tun into a nightmare despite doing my best not to screw up. Are you responsible for giving performance feedback? Avoid giving personality based feedback. Examples include telling an Asian person they are too quiet/shy or telling a Black person they are agressive/abrasive. DO NOT DO THIS. It clearly represents bias in Performance Management. Performance feedback should be tied to business outcomes with clear examples of what the person does well + how they can improve.

You also get .2 for every letter your secretary types up as a "form letter" you never even look at. As an Associate, I don't get those easy/automatic hours.

I'm unemployed and my lease is up soon and I have no idea what to do. I don't live near family and my dog has behavioral issues and I've never been so stressed before in my life.

My mental health has suffered tremendously over the past month. I have a therapist that I probably should see more of but I’m jobless and need to save. I am an aspiring entrepreneur with an inspiring business idea (to me lol) but my anxiety and depression is hindering me severely… fuck my brain. Any other founders here? It’s f‘ing tough.

Would it be bad if I change my start date? I proposed to my employer a start date 2 weeks after I quit my job, but now that I think about it, I feel like I need a week to recharge before starting a new job.

My last therapist keeps coming up in my mind. I left her when I moved to a new area before COVID dug in and frankly it felt like leaving a girlfriend. She also disclosed in the final session that she was a member of AA and knew several of the people I occasionally discussed from the rooms. Her knowledge of the program certainly built trust with me early on, but it has been two years. I discussed it with my current therapist but she’s still in there. Any advice?
