Two questions on job apps:
1. Do you include the duration of your projects that you're including in your application? I have several years of experience but am highlighting only the most relevant ones. But they are projects from a year or two ago.
2. Does anybody have advice in quantifying impact in the projects they've worked on for both resumes and interviews? I can put together high-level numbers (estimated X% in cost reduction, etc.) but none of these are obviously proven out.

Any recommendations on books to get up to speed on leading/managing teams as a new manager in consulting? Preference towards tangible case studies etc. vs. high level concepts.

Thought on wearing nice (like branded) jewelry during interviews? Don’t want to come off as like rich but want to be polished

How long should I wait to ask for an update? I was asked to provide my citizenship status and salary range. The recruiter said once I provide that, we can move onto the next step which is a coding test, and I replied within the hour. It’s been 4 days with no update. Is it alright to reach out and ask when the coding test will be?

Done with two rounds of interview on may 17 th for the position of aml analyst. Interview was good. Approached HR for the update. They said the role is on hold, they will give update soon. Till no updates. What does it mean?

Did an interview yesterday that was supposed to be behavioral, but turned out to be more like the case interviews I did in undergrad. I think I showed off my business knowledge, but he kept harping on my lack of an official framework (vs me saying "I'd explore it from different stakeholder perspectives: customer, line employee, management"); pretty sure he considered it a failure. Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.

I am finishing up a project and I’m trying to document what I’ve done for my resume. What are some good metrics for someone who mainly created user stories, created dashboards, interacted with the client and developed statistical models? One of my dashboards got deployed to production but it’s to early to see the impact. My other dashboards are almost done but I’m moving on to something else.

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

I was at Big 4 consulting for a year before lateraling to ACN recently. It’s been about 6 months at ACN. Now I have an industry offer for Product Manager, which has been my eventual goal. Would it be too soon to jump? Or should I stick around for better exits in a couple of years may be? I’m worried the frequent changes won’t look good on my resume

Happened to me with Mindtree recruiter, for an IoT leadership position where the interviewing VP chose to no show twice… after which I thanked the recruiter that I was impressed by their book of busi-ness and that it was intimidating to be thinking about the prospect of working for Mindtree… as I’m too incapable for those performance standards… 😂😂
