Well.. I brought up compensation, being a women and feeling bias since I'm a Latina... and two weeks after fired. After I explicitly said I was nervous about even bringing it up in fear of retaliation. My review after I brought it up was riddled with "issues" that were never even brought up as being an issue. Things that make you go hmm.

Anyone have a sense of why Deloitte got hit so hard by layoffs? I’ve heard four potential reasons:
1. Client mix / type of work
2. Leverage
3. Over hired in anticipation of growth
4. Partners didn’t want to take a haircut

Just curious! From an external perspective, seems like they cut way more than the other firms.

I quit my previous job approximately 5-6 months ago due to toxic culture and being pressured to commit fraud. I fear hiring managers see that I’ve been out of work for this time and may assume I was fired or laid off. assigning attorney told me back in February that the partners decided *not* to staff me on a very time-intensive, annual deal this spring (which I worked on in 2021), so I could focus on new work that has come in which I am REALLY interested in. Therefore, I signed on to those new projects. Now, seems like he is trying to walk back on it and staff me on Deal A. I’m unbelievably stressed and idk even what to say to him. Now I’m committed to other stuff/partners and Deal A is SO much work.
