Looking for life advice. I have insurance but I almost never use it because the health care system scares me. I went to a family doctor back in September 2020 because my mom forced me to. The doctor made me take a blood test (covered by insurance) and then made me come back in a week otherwise they wouldn’t disclose the results of my blood test. I got charged $125 and $75 for the two visits directly by doc. Now on my insurance says I still need to pay $68 and $137 despite having paid that amount
Not advertising related but recently I’ve found out I have a massive cyst on my ovary and it shouldn’t have gotten that large. I’m on birth control and it should have helped but I want to try and start having a family this next year. I’m just afraid that if this can happen while I’m on birth control how will it be when I come off. I’m just lost and wish female health was more understood. My doctor can’t give me any answers except wait to see in 6 weeks. Any words of encouragement would be great!
Why does every prospect from an old advisor with NWM has a shitload of insurance and not enough saved for retirement. This week, couple has LTC policy and Disability Insurance Policies through NWM.
23M living in NC buying car insurance for the first time, HELPPPPP! What kind of coverage should I look for? I know this will impact price. Best companies to get quotes from?
Let me get this straight. So, Jeep decides to spend millions on a cutdown from their SB spot just to say “stay in” instead of actively help health services and the Americans who lost their jobs.
Is voluntary vision insurance is eyemed?
COVID is really grinding me and my group into the ground. I've been repeating for a few months now that everyone should make sure to put their emotional and mental health first. I tell the team to commit to things wisely, be honest when you can't meet your commitments, and let people know early so we can adapt. But I have a few people who are genuinely doing no work. When I push them on it, they become combative. Not my reports, fwiw, but under my direction. Anyone else dealing with this?
I got an annual check up done in February with co A , PPO medical plan w Aetna. Now I am with co B end opted for high deductible plan with UHC. Annual is covered in high deductible plan. I have run into a health issue and need another checkup. Could I go for another annual under UHC with a different doc?
Do you do much disability, Med supps, or P&C? I’ve built my practice on Investments, annuities, and life insurance. I keep having others tell me that these are great ways to build more revenue.

After ignoring my health and fitness for years, I’m finally looking to kick start a sustainable journey. Just went for a 10k steps walk two days in a row and I feel so tired! 😩 I am ashamed at this absolutely low stamina, but please tell me this is normal and it gets better!
How to deal with one sided friendships? I have a friend whom I’ve been there for countless times (the only one there for both her breakups, job issues, etc), and am always checking in with her about her mental health, making plans, and generally keeping up. She, however, never initiates, has kinda just walked away when I needed her most, and most recently started excluding me from our group events. Part of me just wants to let it go b/c she’s not worth it and she’s proven that. But still hurts:/
Anyone else been getting mobbed with disingenuous mental health awareness week emails from their company, at the same time as getting your mental health issues blanket ignored?
Anyone here diagnosed with gum disease (periodontitis)?? What’re you doing to improve your gum & general oral health? Any recs for toothpaste / mouth wash? Thank you!

Great little primer/summary. Basically, the only way out of mass social distancing/shutdown is massive testing. But lifting restrictions before mass testing is very VERY dangerous. https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2020/3/26/21192211/coronavirus-covid-19-social-distancing-end
Accenture moms - I have Aetna. Was NIPT covered? I’m under 35 but have PCOS and had to use an RE.

Maybe we should implement something like automatic posts refresh? I got a notification about "someone like mypost" but it isn't displaying at the post title...

Can we start a doggo/cat/pet picture thread please? We need some positive content amidst the sea of Covid19 chatter.
People who make 250K+ - do you still feel like you need / want more? Do you have a number in mind that you think is enough? Do you think you will need more when you reach it?
How do you guys actually deal with the stress from our jobs? And please don't give me the "I work out" or I "Go for runs" tropes..that stuff does not help with the day to day stress of our industry. How do you guys deal with it on a daily basis?
This may be a hot take - but as a younger person, working with parents of small kids (especially new parents) is so frustrating. I frequently find myself responsible for picking up the slack due to their family commitments - it’s also somehow completely socially acceptable for kids to barge into zoom meetings screaming. I wouldn’t find it nearly as bothersome if I felt like leadership and parent colleagues took my issues and non work commitments seriously in addition to that of parents and kids
Project is asking me to travel the week my wife is due to have a baby or else get an exemption from HR. Is this normal or is my firm just not supportive? KPMG if anyone is looking to join.
Good morning ☕️
Not sure which bowl to post in but I need some advice on how to be a good ally. I was at CVS today picking up a few things and overheard an uncomfortable convo: an older white man probably in his mid-60s was at the checkout and asked the cashier if she was from Ethiopia. She said no and he asked where she was from. She replied Bangladesh and he started talking about how he never hears about Bangladesh in the news these days. There were a couple people in line behind the man but CONT.
How do you feel about your firm's benefits package, on retirement (401K), PTO, parental leave, and health insurance? Curious to see whether and how you think your firm needs to make adjustments.
Which T2 has the best culture in the pandemic environment. Why? What works well? Deloitte, Strategy& (PwC), LEK, Oliver Wyman, EY-Parthenon, Accenture, Kearney
I know this is an incredibly privileged question to ask so spare me the criticism. But I am graduating with no student loans and starting a job in Philly making 95k. I want to lease an Audi A4 (~350/Mo) but my parents keep trying to talk me out of it saying it’s a terrible investment and that I don’t even need a car. I already plan on maxing out 401k/IRA and have an apartment for 1k/Mo. What do you guys think?
Which city of the 3 would you rather live in, if given an option and why? A. New York B. Los Angeles C. San Diego
As an interviewer, I find it very awkward when an interviewee has on a button-up with a tie and jacket. Heck, even just a button-up. Why do you wear that at home? Put your polo on, relax a little, and don't sit their like a stiff in your apartment bedroom with a fake background.
You fly in Monday morning to the client site. Work till 7 pm. Need a quick bite. On the way to the hotel do you stop at CHIPOTLE or QDOBA? NOTE: There is a right answer to this question.
