Verizon contractors: the axe just dropped
My Whole team got disbanded. All contractors offboarded, LWD Dec 31. My Payroll/vendor has no projects lined up, Future unknown. Some FTEs already cut Dec 19. Verizon's in full cost-slash mode post the big Nov layoffs (1.3k+ gone).
Ship's sinking expect more in Q1. If you're on Verizon (any vendor), update resume, network hard, upskill fast. Loyalty won't save you.
Anyone else hit? Which accounts/vendors worst affected?

Have you been fired before even starting your new job?

I signed for a new job two months ago and will start next month (3 mo notice period in Europe). They were very keen on getting me on-board ASAP before signing but since I signed the contract it has been silent from the new employee.
