Very frustrated. Went through a pretty long interview process at AlixPartners and thought interviews were great. Recruiter reached out and said no offer. That’s fine, I can handle the rejection, but there was no feedback. When I pressed, I was told “there was nothing negative, team just isn’t moving forward.” That makes no sense. Is this common?? I’ve received feedback at every other place where I didn’t receive an offer esp if I had gone through multiple rounds. What a waste of time and energy!
Maybe just the market catching up with their open headcount and you got caught in the bad timing squeeze.
AP4 - Exactly my point, and not sure why AP2 thinks there’s some special immunity for AP. The hiring process is hitting a wall for everyone. And it’s happening in real time, hence my original point - some folks are likely going to get caught in the process in between when reqs were open, and then closed.
They can’t say anything for legal reasons.

Feedback is nice to have but it isn’t a requirement. There’s hardly enough time in the day to interview folks, no one has time to go through the rejections and tell them why. You either didn’t meet the bar, weren’t a fit, or the need is no longer there. It’s annoying but just need to press on!

Any feedback they give is a potential liability i.e. lawsuit. Im shocked youve been able to get feedback.
I had similar experience....was supposed to get feedback on how my pysch test went...but they didn't provide anything at all. Last time I checked - the person leading the team that I was talking to is gone
Went through 6 interviews at mck for recruiter to tell me they aren’t going forward. Usually a partner will call and I didn’t even get that.
You got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter
No such thing called hard. It’s all relative. Give it sometime and sleep over it. You will feel better by the time 🎅 shows up.

I said I went through so many interviews and the test and to go through that and not receive any feedback was disappointing

We almost put an offer to a candidate and then HR told us their assessment scores suggested they have “significantly slower” cognitive speed than the rest of our team so we didn’t send it.

I don’t know how much feedback they give in the hiring process. Overall the firm doesn’t focus on candid feedback/development in other areas
