Views on a “Capabilities and Insights Analyst - Private Equity” position at McKinsey or “Knowledge Analyst - Private Equity” position at BCG? My understanding is they are the same as Strategy& Deals Strategy/EYP Transactions Strategy junior roles. MBB just has a weird name for the position because most junior level people at the firm aren’t that specialized. Are these assumptions correct? Would I be more of a back end slide printer at MBB versus Big 4? Is the MBB title worth it if so?

Hi All - I’m at a firm that has some infrequent in-house training but not enough to help me develop skills to eventually become a trial lawyer. I know cases rarely make it to trial anymore, but I’d like to develop my skills as much as possible to position myself well when they do. How do I know Big-Law is not for me?

I am a first year who just started a couple of months ago and I am literally confused all the time. I did some small work for two partners and they loved it, so put me on new deals but the mid levels I am staffed with absolutely hate the work I do. One said the work I did was laughable. I felt bed because I spent over 25 hours on this. I wouldn’t be very bothered but the other Associates in my class are killing it. So I just feel dumb all the time.
