I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

Best bet...move to a developing country and get expat salary!

What's your total YOE? Location? Current title at KPMG ? Practice?
You've got to keep in mind your total YOE as well. If you can score in 200k-230k in industry role as an SM/Director, it will be well worth it. No travel, more regular hours etc.
What’s your TC?
Hard to beat that with an SM role at just about any firm
I'm jumping to industry in oil & gas soon. Base is just over 100k, but annual cash bonuses range 10-25% of base, and they issue restricted stock units 2x a year at 6-15% of base each time. Also have a 6% match on 401k contributions, and the white rhino of all private sector benefit packages: a pension that vests after just 3 years. And it's based in a very LCOL city.
If i was going to see the same long-term financial benefit from my consulting firm (located in a HCOL, high income tax state) based simply on cash salary, our paltry 401k match and 5-10% annual bonuses, they'd have to pay me north of 200k and I'd have to store half of my net income in a brokerage account (I'm presently at ~80k, so an easier move out for me). The long term value in RSU's and great retirement plans will be so worth the base salary haircut.
