Hello everyone. I will be transitioning from the Navy soon and want to work in the cybersecurity field. I have an active secret clearance, BS in strategic intelligence, working on a masters in cybersecurity, and taking Security+ in December. No work experience in cyber, just my education and bootcamp course for Security+. Should I still apply for job that want 2-5+ years cyber experience and/or an active TS clearance?

Was recently offered a job in Hawaii that would be a much larger role than I currently have (deputy chief architect). The downside is the cost of living is nearly double my current location and I would only be getting a 40% pay increase. Do you think it’s worth giving up quality of life/spending value decrease to accept the larger career and possibly expedite my career progression?

hey, I joined Deloitte in June 2020 as an GPS SA analyst, I just staffed on internal project only providing me adjusted utilization. Now my standard util is 40 and my adjusted is 105... and this project last in another month... by then my standard util might be 20.. will my promotion be affected by this? If a recruiter asks me if I’ve spoken to another recruiter at the company, is it okay if I lie and say no? Or should I just be honest and say yes? I’ve heard of instances where candidates have been ghosted if they say they’ve been in contact with another recruiter. In my case, the recruiter I was in contact with messaged me on LinkedIn and never followed up after our 5 minute phone conversation. I really want this job so I don’t want to mess anything up before getting an interview.
