Personally not interested in requesting work accommodations but my personal faves are a standing desk with a walking pad, visual timer, and lots of colored erasable pens plus my preferred notepad.

second the time timer (it’s like $10 so not gonna ask for accommodations haha)

You can download most apps you'll need on your phone or go to their website.

I don’t have ideas for requested accommodations other than ask for a less distracting workspace or noise cancelling headphones

Was following a thread in Twitter and wanted to see - how much impact do you think COVID has on world politics?

Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m new to this bowl and overweight. I’ve been focused on living a healthier lifestyle for the past several months. I’m down 20+ lbs and ran a mile for the first time in more than 10 years this past Saturday. I used to be focused on health and fitness many years ago but allowed work, school, etc. to shift my focus. Well, needless to say I’m back and working hard at it again! Also, I’m a male living in Chicago. Has anyone used a fitness app? Recommendations?

I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but schedule your dentist appointments, doctor’s appointments, and go work out. After a year of burning the candle from both ends and leaving my health as the last thing I took care of, it’s catching up. I had my first ever root canal and crown last week because a small barely noticeable ache in my gums turned into a full on infection. When I finally went to the dentist, he realized my tooth was dead and during the root canal—cont…

Over the last few weeks I have been actively contemplating leaving consulting. I increasingly find myself stressed, highly anxious and burnt out. I moved from industry to consulting for the good pay but I have young kids and the long hours, client project deadline demands etc are just taking a toll in my mental health. I don’t know how y’all deal with this consulting stress Or is it just me?

Can we take practitioner prescribed CBD on H1b? I know marijuana (recreational or medical) is illegal on h1b and CBD and THC breaks up in body and result in same compound which would be difficult to prove you had been on CBD or THC if asked for a Urine exam. My doctor wants me to start with CBD for anxiety and I am not sure if I should take it. We have very short projects and some healthcare clients ask for the exam.

Also, I started doing the daily readings on the Conference of Bishops website. Anyone interested in joining me to set up a group bible study of sorts via zoom or something? Could be a good way to meet one another personally and professionally, and it’ll force us to hold one another accountable to do it everyday.
