Agreed on this one. As one example, cancelled cable and haven’t really looked back. It has freed up some time I used to waste
Got on a budget and really stuck with it. Minimized rent to be less than 20% of net income. Bought a used car in cash. Cut down on eating out and partying by 30%. When you look at your bank statements from the previous three months, it’s an eye opener to learn what you spend your money on and where you can cut down.
Stop leasing cars. Buy a used car with the features you want.
Stop eating out.
Stop drinking Starbucks.
Stop traveling in peak season (vacation) .
Get a side gig (teaching, photography, Uber, coaching, etc. ) extra income to invest.
Don't try to keep up with the Joneses.
Eat out, but only on company dime. Make it feel special.
Don’t buy alcohol. Period. Improves health as side effect.
Invest in a gym membership and lose weight. Saves on food costs and will save on health expenses down the road.
Rent closer to work to minimize car and transportation expenses.
Drive a (used) sedan, no one needs an SUV.

Cut my entertainment bill drastically by signing up to volunteer as an usher at the theatre where I used to spend $100+ a week on broadway shows, concerts, etc.
Cut my dining out bills drastically by signing up to be a mystery shopper. Now my meals get reimbursed just for writing an objective evaluation of the quality, service, cleanliness, etc.
There are a variety of companies out there and they all have a different criteria for assigning jobs. You should be able to find a few if you Google your city + “mystery shopper”.
