Align to non-M&A offering but do a lot of work in the space (DD, integrations). B4 recruiter reached out and wants me to provide resume@for review with hiring partner. Does it work if I provide a bio with summary of M&A projects (client names removed) instead of a traditional resume? Also plan to list education and previous roles.

What’s the deal with RFPs? I’ve spent countless [non-billable] hours on several of them only to find out that I’m not included in the actual proposal (the document sent to the client showcasing the proposed case team). Is this normal?

Throughout my career, I have worked at both “traditional” and “digital” shops. My current agency would fall under traditional but also offers digital services. Our process, roles and skillsets seem way outdated but I wasn’t sure if it was just my opinion or if this is just how it works. For example, we have no CTO or tech leads. Our digital producers feel more like project managers than actual producers. Account Management is just traditional, no real digital knowledge. Feels layered and dated.

Going to a new firm and bringing a client or two with deadlines before I leave — can I do the work now but bill the time later at my new firm as long as I don’t double bill at my current firm?

My agency is trying to figure out how to strike a balance in quoting website projects. We’re based in New Orleans and are not looking to gather comp set data. We just need some validation.

I.e. going from managing creative projects like TV to managing website builds/UX projects. If so, what was the transition like and what helped you get your bearings in the new environment? I’m thinking about making the switch myself but I don’t have a digital background.
