Understand the role and responsibilities and team size and use tailored examples to speak to those. Also at the VP level, a skill that’s critical to display is an ability to translate strategy into moving the needle

Partially correct on P&L. Get a feel for number of direct reports and each team size underneath. How will you allocate and what results will you expect out of each? It's all about how you can be effective while being 2 levels removed by setting up your system for visibility and management.

Congrats in advance! What industry? Does the VP have P&L responsibilities? What’s the company size?

Random, but valid/persistent thought.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

Hi everyone! I’m currently open to a new role after working for 5 years at my agency. Most of my work at the agency has involved management, community engagement, data analysis, communications, and visual design.

Also thinking of giving resignation as my current project is affecting my mental state. Please give me insights on this as to how I should proceed and how to prepare.

What would you do?

Industry accountant with 5 YoE, can move into senior position with $100k base, or lateral move into big 4 as associate in assurance AWM.

Interested in capital markets, PE, investment...Senior role is unreleated to these industries while PA role could potentially open doors? Just would hate not getting that salary bump after I can finally start seeing some real money after 5 years.....

Also potential advisory role in regional firm but nothing concrete...

Additional Posts in Consulting

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
